Air India express Crash
The plane crash occurred again. Air India Crash that flew from Dubai had an accident Saturday, May 22, 2010, after failing to land past the runway in southern India. It is feared that there are 160 passengers on board were killed. TV footage showed smoke billowing from the aircraft in the area of the city of Mangalore airport, while rescue workers tried to approach the crash site.
Government of Karnataka said that there were 169 people who were in a plane crash when the incident occurred, but only six to seven people who allegedly survived. “This is a big disaster,” said Interior Minister of Karnataka state, India, VS Acharya told CNN-IBN television station. Firefighters were deployed to the site to extinguish the fire. Meanwhile, security officers at the airport in Mangalore, Seemant Singh told NDTV said, conditions at the airport is very sad when the plane had overshot, past the airport runway, at 6:00 pm local time.
